Everything this blog can do

Aarupadaiyar·October 26, 2026

This post is a tour of every formatting tool in the editor. Use it as a reference, then delete it from the admin when you no longer need it. Short version: headings, fonts, highlights, quotes, lists, links, wrapped images, video and downloadable PDFs all work.

Text styles

Plain text, bold, italic, underline and bold italic underline can be mixed freely. Emphasized words read like a heading but stay inside the sentence.

Fonts

The default font is clean sans. This sentence uses the serif face. This one uses the monospace face. And this one is back to the sans face.

Highlights

Highlight in yellow, pink, green, blue or purple to mark what matters.

Quotes and lists

A good quote stands apart from the paragraph around it, set in the serif face with a thin rule.

  • Bullet lists for loose ideas

  • Short and scannable

  • One thought per line

  1. Numbered lists for steps

  2. Write the draft

  3. Add the media

  4. Publish

Images that wrap text

Sample illustration with the word Left on a warm gradient, placed on the left with text flowing on its right

Text wraps around the image like a magazine layout. Keep going for a few lines so the wrapping is easy to see: the picture sits to one side and the paragraph flows around it, then continues underneath once it runs past the bottom edge. This works for portraits, diagrams and screenshots alike, and on phones the image simply drops onto its own line.

Here is a second paragraph beside the same image, to show that several paragraphs can share the wrap before the text returns to full width.

Now the picture flips to the right-hand side.

Once the text runs past the image it returns to the full column width, and a centered or full-width image starts on a fresh line.

Resizable video

Videos can sit inside the article too, and take the same size steps as images. This one is set to 66%.

Video, cover and downloads

The big image at the top of this page is the cover. The video above the text is added from a YouTube link in the post settings. The PDF below the article is an attachment, shown as a download card.

Every image above has alt text, which helps screen readers and search engines. The editor asks for it each time you upload one.
